Privacy Policy

The Reichmann Co. (Pty) Ltd respects your privacy. This website is a static brochure site with no backend, no database and no accounts. We only ever hold what you deliberately choose to send us.

1. Who we are

The Reichmann Co. (Pty) Ltd, a software studio based in South Africa, registration 2026/389746/07. For POPIA purposes we are the responsible party for any personal information you share with us. Reach us any time at info@thereichmannco.co.za.

2. What this website collects

Practically nothing happens automatically. There is no server-side form handler, no analytics account, and no tracking cookies set by us. Fonts, styles and images are all served from our own domain, so your browser is not quietly calling out to third parties while you read. A strict content-security policy blocks anything else from loading. You can verify all of this in your browser's network tab in about thirty seconds.

The contact actions on this site open your own email app (a mailto: link) or WhatsApp (a wa.me link). Nothing you type is captured by this website before you press send in your own app.

3. What we receive when you contact us

When you email or message us we naturally receive whatever you include, typically:

• Your name and business name, if you give them.
• Your contact details, email address and/or phone number.
• The contents of your message, and any context you share.

We do not ask for, and you should not send, sensitive personal information such as ID numbers, banking details or health information through these channels.

4. Why we use it

For one purpose: to reply to you, and if it goes well, to scope and deliver work. Under POPIA our basis is your consent, since you chose to contact us, and our legitimate interest in responding to a genuine business enquiry. We do not sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising.

5. Where it lives and how long we keep it

In our email and WhatsApp accounts, and nowhere else. Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the correspondence for as long as the working relationship and our record-keeping obligations require. Where it does not, we delete it within 24 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time and we will.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or complain. Email info@thereichmannco.co.za and we will sort it out promptly. South Africa's Information Regulator can be reached at inforegulator.org.za.

7. Cookies

This site sets none. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

8. Client projects are different

This policy covers visitors to this website. If you engage us and we handle your own customers' data, we act as an operator on your behalf, and that relationship is governed by the project agreement rather than this page. In practice that means access limited to what the work actually requires and nothing wider, no copies of your customers' data kept on our machines after handover, no use of it for any purpose other than the work itself, and prompt notice to you if we ever become aware of a breach affecting it.

9. Lumarix and Dachshund are covered elsewhere

This policy covers this website only. There is no account to create from this site and it holds no data of yours.

Lumarix is a separate product, at lumarix.thereichmannco.co.za, and it does hold customer data. It carries its own privacy policy and operator agreement, published inside the product, and those govern it, not this page. The same applies to Dachshund, the platform underneath it, which is where the account and the billing live. If you are handing us employee or customer information through Lumarix, the operator agreement there is the document that matters.
