Terms of Service
The rules for using this site, and for what happens when you get in touch. Written to be read, not to catch you out.
These terms cover your use of thereichmannco.co.za, operated by The Reichmann Co. (Pty) Ltd. By using the site you accept them.
1. About this site
This is a static brochure website. There is no login, no checkout and no account to create. It has no backend: the contact actions open your own email app or WhatsApp so you can message us directly. Nothing is purchased or transacted here.
2. Using it fairly
You are welcome to read, browse and share links. Please do not:
- Misuse it. No attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Impersonate us. Do not pass off our content as your own or claim to represent the studio.
- Use it unlawfully. Not for anything illegal or abusive.
3. Our content
The text, design, branding and graphics belong to The Reichmann Co. (Pty) Ltd, except where we credit someone else, for example Instrument Sans, used under the SIL Open Font License. Link to our pages freely. Please do not copy substantial parts of the site or reuse our branding without asking.
4. Lumarix is sold under its own terms
These terms cover this website. There is no account to create on it and nothing to buy on it.
Lumarix is a separate product at lumarix.thereichmannco.co.za. It is open, it is paid for, and it carries its own terms of service, privacy policy and operator agreement, published inside the product. Those govern your use of it and your subscription, not this page. What this site says about Lumarix and about Dachshund, the platform underneath it, is description rather than contract, and nothing here promises a specific capability in a specific form on a specific date.
5. What the published figures mean
The numbers on this site (eleven checks, eighty-eight planted faults, and the rest) describe Dachshund, our own platform, and are measured as at its last closed phase. All eleven run on every change. They state the standard we hold our own work to, not a promise that every client project of every size receives all eleven. The honest split is set out on the standards page, and what a specific project gets is agreed in its own written quote.
6. Prices and quotes
This site publishes no rates or price ranges for client work. The Lumarix subscription price is the one published figure, and the subscription itself is governed by its own terms rather than this page. For client work, a quote becomes binding only when it is issued in writing for a specific scope and accepted. Guarantees described on this site (defect cover, staged payments, handover) take effect through that written agreement, which governs the actual work.
7. Enquiries are not contracts
Reaching out starts a conversation, not a contract. Prices, timelines or scope discussed informally are estimates until we both sign a written agreement for a specific project. That agreement, not this page, governs deliverables, payment and ownership.
8. Third-party links
Some links lead off our site: WhatsApp, LinkedIn, the Information Regulator. We do not control those and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
9. Liability
We take care that this site is accurate, but it is provided as-is for information. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site itself. Liability for actual project work is dealt with in the project agreement. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
10. Governing law
South African law governs these terms, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
